What you can explore

Mapped to the CAPS Grade 12 syllabus

Each experiment matches a topic in the NSC Physical Sciences exam, with the same equations and data-sheet values you use in the paper.

Vertical projectile motion

Launch a ball, watch position, velocity and acceleration graphs draw themselves.

Mechanics · Paper 1

Newton's laws

A block on an incline with live free-body diagram and friction.

Mechanics · Paper 1

Momentum & impulse

Elastic, inelastic and sticky collisions with momentum bars.

Mechanics · Paper 1

Work, energy & power

A skater on a half-pipe with Ep, Ek and work done by friction.

Mechanics · Paper 1

Doppler effect

Moving sound source with wavefronts — and you can hear it.

Waves · Paper 1

Electric circuits

emf, internal resistance, lost volts and the V–I graph.

Electricity · Paper 1

Photoelectric effect

Photons, work functions and Ek(max) against frequency.

Matter & materials · Paper 1

Electrostatics

Drag charges, see field vectors and Coulomb force live.

Electricity · Paper 1
Built for focus

Short missions. Instant feedback. No walls of text.

  • One goal at a timeEvery experiment has three or four bite-sized missions with a hint when you need it.
  • Focus modeHides everything except the lab. Press Esc to come back.
  • 10-minute sprintsWork in short bursts, then take a break. Sprints earn XP.
  • Working, one line at a timeReveal each step of the calculation only when you are ready.
Questions

Frequently asked

Is the Physics Lab aligned to CAPS?
Yes. Every experiment follows the Grade 12 Physical Sciences CAPS content and uses the data-sheet values from the NSC exam, such as g = 9.8 m·s⁻² and k = 9 × 10⁹ N·m²·C⁻².
Do I need to install anything?
No. The lab runs in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and remembers your XP on your device.
Can I type my own problem?
Yes. Describe it in the command bar, for example “ball thrown up at 15 m/s from 10 m” or “emf 12 V, r = 0.5 Ω, R1 = 4 Ω”, and the simulation sets itself up.
Is it suitable for learners with ADHD?
The lab is designed around short missions, instant visual feedback, a focus mode that hides distractions and 10-minute sprints, which many learners who struggle to stay focused find helpful.
